Gen joined the DRC in November 2005. She is program manager for the Instream Leasing Program and the Groundwater Mitigation Bank. Prior to joining the DRC, Gen worked for the Oregon Department of State Lands (Eastern Region) as a Range Technician. While with the State, she worked primarily in the field doing plant inventories, soil analysis, stream surveys, and noxious weed mapping. Gen has also worked on a horse ranch, for the US Forest Service and for a small wood products corporation in Idaho.

Gen has a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon and a BS in Natural Resource Policy from Oregon State University where she graduated with honors. Gen is a native central Oregonian.
