Deschutes River at Sawyer Park
Historically, irrigation users diverted most of the water from Deschutes River near Bend. Cooperative flow restoration efforts have tripled summer flows in the river between Bend and Lake Billy Chinook. Occassionally, as in this photo, summer streamflow reaches the flow restoration target set by the State of Oregon.
