Streamflow Restoration

Water users divert most of the streamflow from rivers and streams in the Deschutes Basin during the summer irrigation season.  These diversions partially or completely dry up miles of waterways.  We restore streamflow through water conservation, water leasing, and water purchases.  The water that would have been diverted out of the river remains in the river and helps to create a healthy ecosystem for people, plants, and animals.
