Monday, June 19 | PRESENTATION: How to Fix a Broken River
FootZone 7:00 - 8:30 PM
The Deschutes River flows right through the heart of Central Oregon and is probably one of your favorite places. Unfortunately, at various times throughout the year, sections of the river suffer from low streamflow resulting in poor water quality, degraded habitat for fish and wildlife, and streambank erosion.
The good news: there are people ardently working to fix this problem. There is much work to be done and we need you to be a part of the solution! Please join Deschutes River Conservancy Program Director Kate Fitzpatrick on Monday, June 19th for a community conversation about the current state of the Upper Deschutes River and how you can support long-term restoration.
Following Kate's 20 minute presentation, an panel of experts will be available to answer questions from the audience. Panelist include Ryan Houston (Upper Deschutes Watershed Council), Kyle Gorman (Oregon Water Resources Department), and Phil Fine (North Unit Irrigation District).
