Riverfest is the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council's annual week-long celebration of the Deschutes River. This years Riverfest occurs between May 4 and May 14.
In a couple of weeks, about 175,000 steelhead fry are going to be released into Whychus Creek. For the steelhead reintroduction efforts to be successful, these fragile, two inch fry are going to need a very healthy ecosystem to survive and thrive.
A press conference to highlight the Reintroduction of steelhead into Whychus Creek will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 1:00 pm at the Camp Polk Meadow Preserve outside of Sisters.
