Deschutes Basin partners recently hosted members of the state legislature’s Joint Water Caucus and other state agency leaders for a tour of the Deschutes. The Joint Water Caucus, a bipartisan bicameral effort, aims to prioritize water issues statewide. The tour emphasized the significance of water data and collaborative water supply projects that benefit rivers, agriculture, and urban areas. Discussions centered on how the state can aid regions in enhancing water management and the best ways for basins to collaborate with the state. We extend our gratitude to everyone who took the time to explore the Deschutes with us, and we eagerly anticipate our continued partnership!
