Crux Fermentation Project Joins the Wild & Scenic Rivers
50th Anniversary Celebration with Three Streams Brut IPA

Salmon-friendly brew to hit Crux tasting room starting Sept. 18th

As part of a region-wide beer naming effort honoring the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act 50th Anniversary, Crux Fermentation Project is releasing Three Streams Brut IPA. This new take on an IPA is crafted from Salmon-Safe pilsner malt from Mainstem Malt in Walla Walla, WA and Salmon-Safe Centennial and Cascade hops from Goschie Farms in Silverton, Oregon.  The brewers at Crux have squeezed all the juicy, citrusy goodness out of these two classic hops we’ve all come to know and love, but kept the bitterness at bay, letting the light shine through its malty bedrock. Three Streams will be pouring at the Crux tasting room beginning Tuesday, September 18th. A portion of the proceeds from this beer will benefit the Deschutes River Conservancy.

The river community and other local nonprofits throughout Central Oregon are teaming up to make our Region the number one location to honor the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. The celebration will be occurring all year long, with many breweries dedicating a beer to commemorate the Act. The act preserves certain rivers with outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values in a free-flowing condition for the enjoyment of present and future generations.

Bridge 99 Brewery, Worthy Brewing, Wild Ride, Cascade Lakes, 10 Barrel, Deschutes Brewery, and Ochoco Brewing Company are among other Central Oregon breweries participating in the celebration. Stay tuned for upcoming beers, events and more at centraloregonwildandscenic.org.
