Join us at noon on Saturday, June 10th at Bend’s Drake Park Public Amphitheater for a worldwide event rooted in dance, community, and the love of water. DRC’s Finance Director and lifelong dancer, Tara Langston will be opening the event with some words about dance and water.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Bend Contemporary Dance Company, with the support of the Central Oregon School of Ballet, will be performing three dances. The first will be a dance honoring our local waters. The second acknowledges global water issues. The third and final dance will be an invitation to the community to join in dance together to raise awareness of water issues.
Global Water Dances seeks to connect and support a global community of choreographers and dancers to inspire action and international collaboration for water issues through the universal language of dance.
