Deschutes water bank

The Deschutes River Conservancy is developing an expanded water bank program to help manage water resources in the basin. The Deschutes Water Bank will provide a platform for both permanent and temporary voluntary water transactions among water users in the region. The goal of the Bank is to support flexible market-based opportunities to help address and balance complex water use and water management objectives. The Deschutes Water Bank is intended to serve as the primary medium for water transactions tools in the basin some of which we currently use:

 
This work builds off a two-year pilot program between DRC, North Unit and Central Oregon Irrigation Districts.
