What we do

Streamflow Monitoring

Informing Planning and Action

The Deschutes River Conservancy collects and analyzes streamflow data to support everything we do—from long-term planning to on-the-ground water transactions.

By tracking where, when, and how water moves through the basin, we can identify where flows are too low, measure the impact of restoration projects, and guide decisions about where to focus our efforts next. Streamflow monitoring helps ensure that the water we protect stays in the river when and where it matters most.
